DBHDD-Authorized Support Through NOW & COMP

At Need For Care Health Services, LLC, we offer Developmental Disabilities Services for individuals and families seeking dependable, community-based support. Our services are authorized through the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) and funded through the NOW & COMP Medicaid Waiver Programs.

These programs allow individuals with developmental disabilities to receive services in their homes and communities while promoting independence, safety, and quality of life.

Services We Provide Under DBHDD

Nursing Services

Our Nursing Services are provided by licensed nursing professionals and focus on supporting the medical and health-related needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Services may include health monitoring, medication oversight as authorized, coordination with healthcare providers, and support aligned with the individual’s service plan. Nursing care is delivered in home or community settings as approved.

Community Living Support (CLS)

Community Living Support assists individuals with developing and maintaining daily living skills necessary for independent and meaningful community life. This includes support with personal care, household routines, communication, social engagement, and participation in community activities. CLS services are person-centered and designed to help individuals reach personal goals while maintaining dignity and choice.

Community Living Arrangement (CLA)

Community Living Arrangement services provide residential support in provider-owned or provider-managed homes. Individuals receive 24-hour support in a structured, community-based environment that promotes safety, stability, and personal growth while encouraging independence and community integration.

Community Residential Alternative (CRA)

Community Residential Alternative services offer residential support in smaller, more individualized living settings for individuals who require consistent supervision and assistance. CRA services focus on meeting daily living needs while supporting personal goals, health, and overall quality of life.

Community Access Individual (CAI)

Community Access Individual services provide one-on-one support to help individuals engage in community activities outside the home. These services focus on building social skills, independence, vocational readiness, and meaningful participation in community life based on the individual’s interests and goals.

Respite Care

Respite Care provides temporary, short-term support to individuals with developmental disabilities while offering relief to primary caregivers. Services ensure continuity of care in a safe and supportive environment, allowing caregivers time to rest, attend to personal responsibilities, or address emergencies without disrupting the individual’s routine.

Specialized Medical Equipment includes medically necessary devices and adaptive equipment that support an individual’s health, safety, mobility, communication, and daily functioning. Equipment is provided as authorized through DBHDD and the individual’s approved service plan and may include:
